So I just found out that I can not reenlist to stay in the Marine Corps. I am automatically disqualified because of the injuries I had in Afghanistan. It really did not sink in when I first heard. Now I just feel like I am gonna vomit. I am speechless, and I have no idea what I am gonna do now. I feel so helpless in this situation. My family and friends say that I will be fine, but I don’t know. I wish that there is more that I can do. Now all I can do is submit my claims to the VA. I know that there is life after the Marine Corps, but I know that there is so much more that I can do with my career. Once a Marine, Always a Marine. I know that no one can take that from me. Semper Fidelis Marines!

I found this video of a marine from my unit. This is really awesome!
I am in a ton of pain from my shoulder surgery. I feel like my shoulder is going to explode. I actually get to return to work on a limited duty status. I have never been hurt in my five years in the Marine Corps. If I had to do it all over again, I would do it in a heartbeat without any hesitation or doubt. I am excited about returning to work with my fellow Marines. I have never been so proud of anything this much in my life. I am a Marine until I die and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Adapt and Overcome!

The Department of Defense announced today the deaths of six Marines who were supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Killed were:
Capt. Daniel B. Bartle, 27, of Ferndale, Wash.
Capt. Nathan R. McHone, 29, of Crystal Lake, Ill.
MSgt. Travis W. Riddick, 40, of Centerville, Iowa.
Cpl. Jesse W. Stites, 23, of North Beach, Md.
Cpl. Kevin J. Reinhard, 25, of Colonia, N.J.
Cpl. Joseph D. Logan, 22, of Willis, Texas.
These Marines died January 19, 2012 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. They were assigned toMarine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 363, Marine Aircraft Group 24, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.

Semper Fidelis Marines! Happy Birthday to all of my Brothers and Sisters of the Corps! This is the second Marine Corps Birthday that i am celebrating in a combat zone. Being away from your Family, Friends, and Marines hits deep and most times, and it is hard to be away from them. I am thankful and honored to have met the Marines and Sailors that I have met during my time as a Marine. I am especially honored to have met Marines and Sailors that have gone above and beyond the call of duty and sacrificed for their country. Happy Birthday Marines and Semper Fidelis!
